Become millionaire with ASB (Amanah Saham Bumiputera)

I just read one article about how you can become a millionaire with ASB (Amanah Saham Bumiputera ).It is not a confidential or special fast rich way to become millionaire through ASB account.But it was a direct count from what we can see through ASB Dividend and Bonus History Since 1993 until year 2008 (see below).Let say you are now 30 years old and currently have RM100K in your savings, then you can become a millionaire with ASB.Within 25 years,your total deposits of RM100K will become a total of RM 1,083,470.59.This is calculate assuming that ASB dividend rate will be around 10% annually.

Year 1993: Dividend = 9.00% , Bonus = 4.50% , Total = 13.50%
Year 1994: Dividend = 9.00% , Bonus = 4.50% , Total = 13.50%
Year 1995: Dividend = 10.00% , Bonus = 3.00% , Total = 13.50%
Year 1996: Dividend = 10.25% , Bonus = 3.00% , Total = 13.25%
Year 1997: Dividend = 10.25% , Bonus = 1.25% , Total = 11.50%
Year 1998: Dividend = 8.00% , Bonus = 2.50% , Total = 10.50%
Year 1999: Dividend = 10.50% , Bonus = 1.50% , Total = 12.00%
Year 2000: Dividend = 9.75% , Bonus = 2.00% , Total = 11.75%
Year 2001: Dividend = 7.00% , Bonus = 3.00% , Total = 10.00%
Year 2002: Dividend = 7.00% , Bonus = 2.00% , Total = 9.00%
Year 2003: Dividend = 7.25% , Bonus = 2.00% , Total = 9.25%
Year 2004: Dividend = 7.25% , Bonus = 2.00% , Total = 9.25%
Year 2005: Dividend = 7.25% , Bonus = 2.00% , Total = 9.25%
Year 2006: Dividend = 7.30% , Bonus = 1.25% , Total = 8.55%
Year 2007: Dividend = 8.00% , Bonus = 1.00% , Total = 9.00%
Year 2008: Dividend = 7.00% , Bonus = 1.75% , Total = 8.75%

So, if you have an extra RM100K and don’t know what to do with it, why not deposit it into your ASB account?It is way better than a quick rich scheme available.Just 25 years late.If you do have a lot of savings, why not deposit RM200K which is a maximum allowable principle for ASB account?In 25 years, you can get a total of RM 2,166,941,19 .Don’t you think it’s a nice figures?

your calculations are totally wrong… ASB has a limit which is to date = 200k and the bonus shall be calculated through 10 years of investment.. by the way, nice work..

This is calculating from history. If I have 100k, I will invest in genting or sports toto share and the appreciation today would be worth more than 1 million! I think to use history to calculate is not right but merely an indication.
