Quite busy with my job recently, with customer claim keep coming in and also some issues to solve.If anything involved documents need 3rd party supports, it will get tougher.
This is one email i received today from our Singapore customer.
The PPAP means for Production Part Approval Process and it’s a package of new product submission
The PPAP Level 3 package including below items:
1) Design Records of Saleable Product
2) Approved Engineering Change Documents if applicable
3) Customer Engineering approval, if required
4) Design FMEA, only if supplier is design responsible
5) Process Flow Diagrams
6) Process FMEA - in accordance with AIAG manual, current edition.
7) Control Plan
Measurement System Studies (Gage R&R)
a) Gage R&R < 10%. Address all 10%< R&R <30% (AIAG MSA Manual, current
edition)
9) Dimensional Results
10)Records of Material/ Performance test results
11)Initial Process Study
a) At least 100 parts measured and at least 25 subgroups to be considered
b) For all Special Characteristics , if any 1.33 ˜ Ppk/Cpk < 1.67, work plan required
12)Qualified Laboratory Documentation
13)Appearance Approval Report, (AAR)
14)Sample Product (Qty:5 shots - minimum) + Master Samples (Qty:5 shots
- minimum)
15)Checking Aids (e.g. documentation of checking fixtures etc.)
16)Run at Rate data from production trial run
17)Evidence of packaging approval
18)Evidence of IMDS (or equivalent) submission
19)Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
